Dr Maddy Depa

I bring to my practice a compassionate and caring approach towards children and elderly alike. I recognise the anxiety that dental surgery can induce in patients, particularly children.

I am particularly interested in ensuring that dental surgery is free of anxiety, pain and discomfort. Also, as the mother of a four year old, I have a few of my own tricks up my sleeve in interacting with young children!

I am passionate about the quality of my work and about bringing the best possible standard of dental care to my patients.

My priority is to provide an easy, acceptable and comfortable dental experience of which the dental treatment itself is only a small part, for every one of my patients, during every visit.

Dentalessence are a great team, and it is my privilege to be a part of it.

I qualified from Bangalore India in 2006 and the GDC in 2008.
I am currently pursuing a Certificate course in Dental Pain Management and Sedation at the Eastman Dental College, London.

GDC No: 170597

I have developed a special interest and expertise in teeth straightening (Orthodontics), and have received specialised mentoring in this field for a year under a specialist Orthodontist.

I have become the in-house dentist for Orthodontics, and I’m an accredited Inman aligner, Clear Aligner and Six Month Smile practitioner.

I also have a special interest in sedation and oral surgery.

After graduating from India in 2006, I moved to the UK and obtained registration with the General Dental Council in 2008.

Since then, I have worked as a general dentist providing NHS and private dental services to a high standard, in hospital and general dental practice settings.

I have received specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as a Senior House Officer at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath and Eastbourne District General Hospital, Eastbourne.

My trainers have been among the most eminent maxillofacial surgeons in the region.
